Meet the Innkeepers Ron and Michelle Tenny

Ron and Michelle Tenny are looking forward to welcoming you to their Girdwood, Alaska B&B. After spending many years in the Chicagoland area, heavily immersed in corporate business and the big city life, they have slowed down the pace in beautiful, tranquil Girdwood, Alaska. Ron has given up his world traveling for a pair of hiking boots and a kayak in the summer and skis in the winter. Michelle and Ron sent their two children off to college and Michelle went to Kendall College, a culinary school in Chicago. Since graduation, when she is not exploring all the wonders of Alaska, she continues to enjoy cooking, including preparing breakfast selections using local Alaskan products.

Their Days Before Hosting and Running Hidden Creek B&B

Ron and Michelle first came to Alaska with their two children on a vacation in 2001. In 2002 they returned to Girdwood on a three month business-related trip. With each day that passed, they became more enthralled with Alaska and its majestic beauty. Soon thereafter, they purchased a piece of property and began their plans to fulfill a life-long dream of building and running a bed and breakfast. Since that time, they have explored much of Alaska, both as tourists and as residents. They are well acquainted with the many travel options in the area and are happy to make recommendations based upon your special interests.

"For our last night in Alaska and our anniversary, it could not have been better. Your openness, attention to detail and relaxed atmosphere made for a memorable experience. Please remain in the B&B industry as yours is a much-sought personal touch."
